The Johnjay & Rich Show Grants Ultimate Christmas Wish with 2017 Ford Fusion Giveaway

LOS ANGELES, December 21, 2017 – The Johnjay and Rich Show marked the 16th anniversary of their Christmas Wish program this year by helping families in need across the U.S. celebrate the holiday season. Seven of the families, who were nominated by friends and family, were featured on-air this week, with wide-ranging prizes, including washers and dryers, beds and mattresses, flat screen televisions, a water heater and a family trip to Disneyland.

The annual Christmas Wish program, funded by the Johnjay and Rich #LoveUp Foundation, concluded today with the biggest gift so far.  CeCe, a 19-year-old mother of an 18-month-old daughter, recently took custody of her two nieces (ages 3 and 4) to avoid having them placed in foster care. CeCe has been struggling to make ends meet and was forced to borrow her grandfather’s car since she doesn’t own one. The Johnjay and Rich Show elves surprised her with a 2017 Ford Fusion with three brand-new car seats for the children. Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/8emxnZHTEU4

The Christmas Wish program began in the late ‘80s at 93.7 KRQ in Tucson as a way to both help children and their families have a memorable Christmas. In its humble beginnings, recipients received small items such as a Christmas tree and a few toys. Since The Johnjay & Rich Show took over the program in 2001, it has expanded to include more cities across the U.S., as well as life-changing prizes for the families. About the Johnjay & Rich #LoveUp Foundation
#LoveUp is an accidental movement started by Johnjay Van Es, after auto correct changed his friend’s text from “love it” to “love up,” and the phenomenon was born. Started as a social media campaign to remind people to pay it forward and spread the love, the #LoveUp Foundation was then created as a nonprofit organization that primarily provides assistance to foster care programs. Sponsorships and proceeds from the sale of #LoveUp T-shirts raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the #LoveUp Foundation. Visit www.loveupfoundation.org.  In 2015, #LoveUp Foundation was expanded to #LovePup Foundation, which raises funds and awareness for rescue dogs.
