LOS ANGELES, October 10, 2017 – iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show received a surprise call today from Country superstar Keith Urban, who announced on air that the radio program has won the 2017 CMA Award for “National Broadcast Personality of the Year.”  Urban sang the program’s theme song for their popular segment “Tell Me Something Good,” before revealing the big news.

“I think it’s time that you guys hear something good, and also that your listeners should know they have impeccable taste, because they are listening to the CMA broadcast winner for National Personality of the Year,” shared Urban, a ten-time CMA Awards winner and four-time 2017 nominee.  “…It is true that we need some good news right about now, and I’m just super happy to be able to call you guys and tell you that this morning.”

“It’s an honor to receive this award and to be able to do what we do,” shared Bones. “I say it all the time, but we have the best listeners, and the fact that they take the time out of their day to tune in means the world to us.”
