Premiere Networks' Sal Cirrincione Turns in Hall of Fame Effort at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2018 -  Sal Cirrincione, Premiere Networks’ Senior Director of Rock Programming and Specials, recently covered the 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium, where he provided affiliates with several exclusives.

Leading up to the big night, Cirrincione was the only journalist in the world to interview Dire Straits’ frontman Mark Knopfler about their induction. While numerous media outlets were left in the dark about Knopfler and the band’s thoughts on the honor, including whether or not they would attend, Cirrincione kept Premiere’s affiliates up to speed with interview clips from Knopfler, as well as three of his bandmates, David Knopfler, John Illsley and Pick Withers.

Then on the night of the induction, April 14, Cirrincione covered the event for the 23rd time and was repeatedly called on first to ask questions of this year’s honorees: The Moody Blues, The Cars, Bon Jovi, and Dire Straits.  Cirrincione was also given backstage access where he did one-on-one interviews with Bon Jovi’s Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, as well as Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues.

Additionally, Cirrincione spoke about the ceremony on Monday, April 16, with 26 stations across the country including KZPS (Dallas), KQRS (Minneapolis), KGB (San Diego), WCSX (Detroit), WMGK (Philadelphia), WBGG (Miami), KRFX (Denver), WZBA (Baltimore), WDVE (Pittsburgh) and WBIG-FM (Washington, D.C.).
