Woody to be Honored with MSBC'S 2026 “Kidd Kraddick Award”
Talentmasters’ 38th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC) is pleased to announce this year’s “Kidd Kraddick Award” recipient will be Woody from iHeartMedia’s top‑rated “The Woody Show” – one of the top nationally‑syndicated alternative radio shows in the U.S., distributed by Premiere Networks and originating from iHeartMedia Los Angeles’ ALT 98.7, LA’s Alternative Rock. Named in honor of the late Kidd Kraddick, the award recognizes those of unparalleled success, inimitable style, authenticity, exemplary service to their community, and a consistent ability to inspire other shows and personalities.
Traditionally, each year's recipient is charged with selecting the following year's honoree. Last year's recipients, Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra from “The Johnjay & Rich Show”, said this in selecting Woody:
“Woody has a rare ability to connect, uplift, and make people feel seen - all while making us laugh,” said Van Es. “He represents everything the Kidd Kraddick Award stands for, and no one is more deserving.”
“We’ve watched Woody and his crew quietly – and with style – build a rock empire over the last few years, one that has grown with class and forged a relationship with his uber-loyal audience that’s both admirable and ridiculously entertaining to listen to,” said Berra. “That, in itself, is the way Kidd used to do it too. We think he’d be proud to see Woody as the next recipient of the Kidd Kraddick Award.”
“This industry has given me so much over the years, and radio will always be my first love,” said Woody. “While I never had the chance to meet Kidd Kraddick, I fully understand the impact he had and the legacy he left behind. Being recognized by colleagues with an award that carries his name is a tremendous honor, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to give back to the industry that has meant so much to me.”
Past honorees include iHeartMedia’s Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra from the Premiere Networks-syndicated “The Johnjay & Rich Show,” Bert Weiss of the syndicated “The Bert Show,” YEA Media Group’s “The Kidd Kraddick Show,” KRBE-FM Houston’s “The Roula & Ryan Show with Eric,” Charlotte’s “The Ace & TJ Show,” 97X Quad Cities' “Dwyer & Michaels Show,” Big 105.9 Miami's Paul Castronovo, Seattle’s BJ Shea, Rochester’s “Brother Wease,” Mojo of Channel 955 Detroit's “Mojo in the Morning” and KDWB-FM Minneapolis’ Dave Ryan.
The Kraddick Award will be presented during Talentmasters' 38th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC), taking place August 5-7 at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Register now by clicking HERE.
